AC/GC junior Chloe Largent set a new school record last week as the Chargers won their home track and field meet.

There were many highlights for AC/GC en route to their first first-place finish of the season. The Chargers hosted 11 other schools for the annual Lady Charger Invitational. As a team, AC/GC finished in first place with 123 points. First place finishers for AC/GC include Jorja Hoover in the 400 meter, Rylee Sloss in the 1600 and 3000 meter, and most impressively Chloe Largent in the high jump.

Largent’s 5-4 mark was not only the best in the competition, but best in school history beating her own record set in 2019. With the mark Largent not only replaces her own name in the record books, but also qualifies for the Drake Relays.
