The Perry Chamber of Commerce has held two fundraising events recently for the Fourth of July celebration in Perry with good outcomes for both events.

Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says the goal for the fireworks drive was $12,500 and she says she isn’t aware of a time where the Chamber successfully met that goal. Pasutti says between the Big Boom Bracket Battle and Radio Pie Auction the Chamber has surpassed its goal.

“This is the first year ever, to my knowledge, of us setting a goal and actually hitting it and then not only that to only be in April. So, that is absolutely amazing, fantastic, unbelievable and very surprising. So, that’s really exciting.”

With this Pasutti says the Chamber will be looking at how the Board can continue to raise money this year moving forward.

“Does that look like upping what we order for fireworks, does that incorporate some other activity for that event, do we roll things over for next year and get started on a new pace for fundraising so we are always ahead of the game?”

Pasutti says it is exciting to be in a position where they won’t need to look to pull money from other accounts to have the money for the fireworks. The total money raised is $12,945.
