Wednesday, April 7th

4:03am: A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a traffic stop at Russell Park in Jefferson.

9:03am: A deputy investigated a neglect complaint in the 800 block of Percival Street, Grand Junction.

9:09am: A deputy investigated a child custody issue in the 1000 block of 150th Street.

12:21pm: A deputy assisted with a house fire in the 1400 block of 270th Street. Jefferson Fire Department, Grand Junction Fire Department, Scranton Fire Department, and Greene County Ambulance responded the fire. The house was a total loss. Red Cross was contacted to assist the family.

12:55pm: A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 500 block of South 12th Street, Grand Junction.

1:35pm: Sean Shell 45 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for ongoing criminal conduct- influence enterprise and a controlled substance violation.

3:12pm: Richard Compton 51 of Grand Junction was booked into the jail for possession of a controlled substance 1st offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.

6:06pm: A deputy investigated a complaint of dogs running at large in the 100 block of Howard Street, Rippey.

10:03pm: A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on 220th Street near J Avenue.

10:37pm: A deputy investigated an extortion complaint that was reported by phone.

11:31pm: A deputy investigated a report of an accident on Neola Avenue near 260th Street. The reporting party did not see any vehicle but observed skid marks from a previous accident.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
