With it being spring and people spending more time outdoors, seasonal allergies may begin to affect people and knowing the difference between allergies or COVID-19 can be difficult.
Dallas County Health Department Public Information Officer Ann Cochran says COVID-19 testing is free and easily available. Cochran says if you are noticing something different than the normal you should get tested.
“If you are a person who has had seasonal allergies every year for quite a few years and you know how your body acts and something is a little different that may be an indication that you do have something else. It’s not just your allergies.”
Cochran says if that would be the case it wouldn’t be too difficult for someone to get tested. Cochran says in the event that you may suspect that you have COVID-19 and have been tested, to quarantine while you are waiting for your test results.
