While the Perry Chamber of Commerce is in full swing with the Big Boom Bracket Battle, there are other fundraising events going to take place soon.
Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says an event that hasn’t taken place since she has been with the Chamber will soon come back. The radio pie auction will be taking place at 8 a.m. April 13th at Raccoon Valley Radio in Perry on 99.7 and 1310 KDLS after the Big Boom Bracket Battle has wrapped up.
“That will be a week after the Big Boom Bracket Battle finishes and so we will do this radio pie auction. So, it’ll be a fun connection between the two, a pie in the face and then the radio pie auction where you can actually get a wonderful handmade pie at auction for you to enjoy with those funds going to the fireworks drive as well.”
Pasutti says in the time leading up to the radio pie auction, they will be getting the pies and getting the word out on who the pies were made by. While not everything is set in stone yet Pasutti says there will be multiple ways to participate.
“We are looking to do a Facebook live at the same time. So, you can catch it on the radio, you can also see it on Facebook.”
Pasutti says they are continuing to work out the details as they are moving forward toward the event.
