Dallas Center – Grimes girls track and field competed on Tuesday night at Southeast Polk, and were able to come in second place out of eight teams, earning 134 points total during the meet.

Kileigh Lachacz was able to put up a big night, as she was able to win both the discus throw and the shot put as well, accumulating twenty team points in the process. She was not alone in having a big day, as Bailey Macumber also was able to put up a great effort in the long jump, where she finish second overall as well.

Multiple relay teams were able to put up good marks as well, including the 4 x 400 team, which was able to put up a second place performance with a time of 4 minutes and 25 seconds.

The Mustangs will have a big meet upcoming this Saturday when they host multiple schools at home, as they hope to put together another strong showing.
