National Library Week is just around the corner and the Perry Public Library has plans to celebrate.

Library Director Mary Murphy says the highlight will be a ribbon cutting at 8:30 a.m. on April 7th. The ribbon cutting is to celebrate the recent completion of the renovation on top of other activities.

“We have a scavenger hunt available in the library and so if you fill out the scavenger hunt thing you’ll get a little prize and then your entry will be put into a grand prize drawing of Perry Bucks.”

Murphy tells Raccoon Valley Radio there are other ways people can participate in National Library Week without coming into the library if they wouldn’t feel comfortable. Also, Murphy says there are coloring pages for kids among other activities to celebrate being open.

“We have a find the clues game and you can have your first clue delivered to your car and if you find all the clues, I’ll tell you there is five of them, and fill out the form you can drop it off curbside and put your name in for a grand prize drawing of more Perry Bucks.”

National Library Week will be taking place from April 4-10.
