Former GC Schools AD Todd Gordon
Greene County hosts its Coed Early Bird Track & Field Meet tomorrow starting at 4:30 p.m. at Linduska Field in Jefferson. It’s the first outdoor competition of the 2021 season for the Rams, and for most of the other schools competing.
The forecast calls for warm and windy conditions, which Activities Director Todd Gordon welcomes after last week was cold and wet. “I think track meets are great! Especially on a 70 degree day, there’s really nothing better and I enjoy being a part of them. I think our kids deserve to play at home no matter what, so it’s just nice to have them at home and to have a facility where we can have them compete.”
The A.D. added volunteers are always welcome. “If anyone out there is looking to volunteer at track meets, or at any of our events, give Misty (Bettey) a call. We will not turn you away! You will be welcome, and we’ll take care of you, too!”
The Greene County Early Bird Meet is non-scoring and allows for both varsity and JV entries.
