During this week’s Guthrie County PM Sports Page, West Central Valley Athletic Director David Doley answered some questions about spring sports for 2021. Doley was asked about what he’d expect this spring sports season.

Doley responded by saying, “Yeah, it’ll be nice to have a springs sports season. Obviously with last year being canceled.” He would go on to complement both the boys and girls soccer teams. He believed they would’ve been very good teams and it was frustrating not seeing them play last year.

Doley was later asked if there would be any changes to COVID protocols from fall and winter sports. “No, not so much I honestly, since it’s outdoors, it’s a little more spread out stuff like that.”

With more and more Iowans having access to the COVID-19 vaccine, there is hope that more spectators can go to these sporting events.
