Dallas Center – Grimes Mustangs soccer will be having their first practice of the season today, as they will have a little more than two weeks of official practice before their first official match of the season.
Dallas Center Grimes weren’t able to compete during the 2020 season due to Covid-19, but during the 2019 season, they were able to go 14-3 on the year, and will still have a few players from that team that were big contributors. They also have some very good freshmen and sophomores in the program that could see playing time as well.
The Mustangs won the Little Hawkeye Conference in 2019 going undefeated, but know that will be a tough task again in such a tough conference. They also have a very good non-conference schedule on the pitch as well, including games against Johnston, Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson, and ADM as well.
The Mustangs will have a jamboree at Ankeny High School on Friday April 2nd and then they will have their official start of the season on Tuesday, April 6th, when they compete against the Dragons of Johnston.
