The hiring of Tori Ogden as girls’ head basketball coach at Greene County High School was approved by the School Board last week. She’s been in the Southeast Warren (Liberty Center) district the past five years as a teacher associate, as well as an assistant volleyball and basketball coach.
This will be her first head coaching job and she talked about the impression the new high school made. “When I was in the interview, we sat down, got to know everybody, had a really good connection, and Todd (Activities Director Gordon) gave me a tour. We’re walking around and we’re in that gym and I was like, I could see myself coaching here. The new weight room and the locker room set up, it was almost like a junior college-type feel. I’m pretty excited about that.”
She told Raccoon Valley Radio she’s not seen a gym quite like this one, with two-thirds of the east wall being glass with a clear view to the outside.
