Friday, March 12th
7:40am: The Wild Rose Casino reported an Abandoned Bicycle at 777 Wild Rose Lane. The bike was placed in Impound.
9:37am: Erica Murphy reported a Criminal Mischief to a window at 521 North Olive Street.
11:30am: Kirk Citurs requested assistance in locating his wife. She had come to Jefferson to run some errands, but had not shown up. He could not reach her by phone. Citurs called back a short time later and advised he had spoken to his wife, who was fine.
3:25pm: Amber Snyder requested a Welfare Check on a male in the 1600 Block of Westwood Drive. She later advised the subject was fine and her office would follow up with him on their own.
Saturday, March 13th
3:33am: An officer was called to 704 North Chestnut Street for a reported Domestic Situation. The officer arrived and made contact with parents and a juvenile female. It was learned that a family argument had been occurring between all parties and alcohol played a role in the issue. The officer diffused the issue for the evening, but will follow up with DHS.
3:48am: Marilyn Wolfe reported a possible Sexual Assault had occurred at 107 North Olive Street, involving her juvenile granddaughter. The officer is investigating.
6:32am: Ryan Murphy reported the Theft of a Cell Phone from 205 North Locust Street. The officer is investigating.
7:25am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 300 Block of West Washington Street.
9:13am: Dollar General reported a Theft at 104 North Locust Street. The officer was shown video of the theft. The business did not wish to pursue a criminal charge, but wanted the female subject trespassed from the business.
10:31am: Melinda Madison reported receiving a Scam Letter at 105 North Walnut Street. She received a check and was advised to place it in her account. She was to send most of the money to an address in California and keep the remaining money. The officer advised her it was a scam and to destroy the check.
10:53am: DHS requested a Welfare Check on a female in the 100 Block of North Olive Street. The officer spoke to the female, who was fine.
1:04pm: Marilyn Wolfe reported her juvenile granddaughter had left and not returned home to 502 South Maple Street. The officer later located the juvenile at a friend’s residence.
5:35pm: A juvenile female came to the front counter to speak with an officer about not getting along with her mother. DHS is involved with the family and the information was passed to them.
5:27pm: Tina Peck reported a vehicle parked on private property at 307 West Lincoln Way, was not a tenant. She was advised to contact her landlord about the civil issue.
8:37pm: Lisa Hager reported odd behaviors from her adult son at 103 East Russell Street. The officer arrived and ended up coaxing the male to ER to be evaluated by a medical doctor.
10:34pm: Angie Hueser requested an officer at 1606 Westwood Drive for an unwanted male outside the residence attempting to leave with her juvenile daughter. The officer was assisted by an Iowa State Trooper at the residence. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Edward Lee Goff Jr, 19 of Jefferson for, “Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree – Aggravated and Trespassing causing Damage Greater than $300.00 – Serious.” Goff was taken to ER for minor injuries before being taken to jail. A window was broken out during the event, with estimates of $1000.00 to repair.
Sunday, March 14th
12:18am: Wild Rose Staff requested an officer at 777 Wild Rose Lane for a reported intoxicated male, who was refusing to leave when asked to do so. The officer arrived and learned the male’s friends had removed him from the business and were taking him home.
12:31pm: PAWS requested a Welfare Check on a dog in the 200 Block of South Olive Street. The officer arrived at the address, but no dog was located there.
1:01pm: A juvenile female came to the LEC to speak with an officer about what she believed to be Child Abuse by her adoptive parents. The officer worked with DHS to locate a safe place for the juvenile to stay until DHS can assist the family with services.
1:33pm: Jeremy Kuehl reported a Driving Complaint near 220th and Mulberry Street. The officer was tied up with the previous entry, but will follow up on the complaint at a later time.
2:16pm: Er requested Walk Throughs at 1000 West Lincoln Way Street from time to time. They were working on a committal of a male, who was becoming agitated.
6:55pm: A subject requested Extra Patrol in the 1600 Block of Westwood Drive.
7:57pm: Jo Ann Hart reported a Stray Dog near Elm and Lincoln Way Street. The officer did not locate the reported animal.
11:08pm: Er reported a male patient, who was involved in a committal, had walked away from ER. The officer located the subject and returned him to ER, per court order.
