ADM Tigers boys basketball played in one of the toughest conference in the state of Iowa in the Raccoon River Conference, and it produced many difficult opponents night in and night out. One of their opponents in the Ballard Bombers, was the number one state ranked team throughout a good portion of the season. The Bombers will be playing in the state championship tonight at the 3A level.
ADM and Ballard faced off twice during the regular season, with ADM giving the Bombers a run for their money in the first matchup losing in overtime 59-55. The second game was less close in Adel with Ballard pulling away late and winning by the score of 65-51. Ballard was able to be co-champions of the conference finishing with a 17-1 mark along with Carroll, and have made teams miserable throughout the season with their three point shooting.
The Bombers will be playing at 5:00 o’clock tonight and hope to get their first ever state championship, hoping to win one after their girls won a state title last week in 4A.
