Adel-Desoto-Minburn boys track and field had their first event of the season yesterday, and saw some big numbers out of multiple teams and runners at the Dickinson Relays in Cedar Falls.

Senior Nate Mueller wasted no time getting his campaign started out with a bang, setting the schools record in the 1600 meter race with a time of 4 minutes and 15 seconds, the fastest mark by more than three seconds. The boys 4 x 200 team was able to get sixth overall with a time of 1 minutes and 36 seconds, an impressive tally for the first race of the season. In the 800 meter, Ethan Juergens got 2 minutes and 7 seconds and Nathan Royer 2 minutes 8 seconds which was good enough to get 10th and 11th place.

Junior Lucus Ray competed in the long jump and also broke a school record with his 9th place finish, grabbing a jump of 20 feet 4 inches. Senior Tate Stine-Smith picked up a nice 7th place finish in high jump, with an impressive first meet mark of 5 feet 10 inches, setting a tone for what could be a big season.

ADM will have no more meets this week with their next scheduled meet to take place on Friday, March 19th at Central College.
