Paton-Churdan is well represented on the Rolling Valley Activities Conference girls’ basketball All-Conference teams. Senior Danielle Hoyle was named to the first team, with senior Tessa Steimel on the second unit. Senior Chloe Berns and junior Carmyn Paup were on the honorable mention list.
Coach Tom Kennedy’s Rockets went 16-6 overall and finished behind only Class 1A State Tournament semifinalist Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton in the conference standings. E/EHK had three players on the first unit and another on the second.
Hoyle was one of 1A’s top scorers this season at 23.13 points per game on 70.3% shooting. She averaged 11.18 rebounds and 3.86 blocked shots per contest. Steimel averaged 7.2 points with Berns at 7.1, and Paup scored at a 6.3 clip. Paup is the lone P-C starter who wasn’t a senior.
