The Raccoon Valley Radio listening area drought continues as the temperatures increased this past week.

According to the United States Drought Monitor, Guthrie County is split down the middle, with the western half under moderate drought and the eastern portion is abnormally dry. The majority of Greene County is under moderate drought, with the southeast corner abnormally dry. Dallas County’s northwest portion is abnormally dry with the rest of the county not under drought.

The National Weather Service reported no precipitation throughout the listening area over the last week.
