Nodaway Valley girls basketball was able to pick up their first ever state tournament win on Tuesday night against North Lynn, winning by the score of 53-47.
Their next game will have someone in the loss column at the end of the morning, with both Nodaway Valley and Maquoketa Valley coming into the matchup with a 24-0 record each. Both had a big difference in scoring points with the Wolverines averaging 64 points per night and Maquoketa Valley averaging 51 points per game. Defensively the Wolverines give up 40 points per game and the Wildcats 28 points.
Nodaway Valley loves to push tempo and will look for the first good shot available while Maquoketa Valley has a calculated approach, relying on defense that can potentially led to big offensive outputs.
It is expected to be one of the funniest matchups across the semifinals for any class during the girls state tournament.
