The Perry Fire Department responded to a fire at Osmundson Manufacturing Tuesday afternoon.
Perry Assistant Fire Chief Brian Eiteman says they received the call at approximately 1:15 p.m. Tuesday. Eiteman says when crews arrived on scene there was a small amount of smoke coming out of the building and the fire had already been extinguished.
Eiteman says there were no injuries from the fire that allegedly occurred when a fitting on a hydraulic line ruptured spraying fluid throughout the area. The fluid then ignited creating a fireball. The Perry Fire Department was back in the station at 2 p.m. after putting out hot spots with water.
