A Bagley woman was recently sentenced after a stabbing incident in June.
According to court documents, 29-year-old Ronelle Christopher pled guilty to willful injury causing bodily injury, a Class D Felony, and was sentenced to five years probation. She also pled guilty to an aggravated misdemeanor charge of domestic abuse assault to inflict serious injury-first offense. She received two years probation to be served consecutively with the five years probation for the felony charge. She was also fined just over $1,800.
The charges originated from an incident June 1, 2020 after Christopher’s boyfriend told Guthrie County Deputies she stabbed him in their living room. The victim was life flighted to Des Moines for serious wounds to his stomach and left arm, as well as cuts to his face. Christopher admitted to consuming five beers prior to the stabbing.
