The Perry Public Library reopened this past Wednesday to allow patrons to come into the building and browse for books on their own.
The library is enjoying its first week back open to the public and Library Director Mary Murphy says patrons have also been excited to come back.
“I was at the door greeting people and people are so happy, so happy to come into the library. I’m so happy to be here. Another place that they feel safe and know that we have been very cautious about everything.”
Murphy tells Raccoon Valley Radio that masks are still required to enter the library and they have made sure to have ample hand sanitizer around the building for patrons to use. This is also the first time that the public can see the new renovations to the facility as well.
