ADMs Ben Smith at 132 and Jake Alexander at 106 will be competing in the state wrestling tournament today in Des Moines, as they look for strong showings against great competition.

Smith will be taking a 33-7 record into the match, where he will be taking on Creston’s junior Tristan Barncastle in the first round, who comes in with a 33-6 record. Smith will have to be smart around the talented Barncastle, but should be a competitive match.

Alexander comes in with a 22-9 record with the sophomore putting together a solid season, and will take on a great talent in the first round in Vincent Mayberry. Mayberry is a freshmen and comes in with a 39-1 record, and will provides a tough challenge.
