Tuesday, February 9th
9:58am: A deputy investigated a single vehicle accident on E Avenue near 260th Street. A 17-year-old male from Bayard lost control of a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado and entered the west ditch rolling the vehicle. The estimated damage was around 5,000 dollars. The driver was not injured.
10:00am: A deputy investigated a domestic in the 500 block of 3rd Street, Rippey.
11:35am: A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 500 block of 3rd Street, Rippey.
3:16pm: A deputy investigated a civil dispute in the 1200 block of K Avenue.
6:13pm: A deputy investigated a single vehicle accident on N Avenue near 250th Street. Hermelando Pacheco 37 of Bagley was driving a 2014 Ford F150 and fell asleep heading North on N Avenue. The vehicle drifted into the snow on the shoulder pulling the vehicle into the guardrail on the bridge. The estimated damage to the truck was around 10,000 dollars and there is also severe damage to the guardrail. Greene County Ambulance responded and transported the driver to the Greene County Medical Center with minor injuries. Hermelando was cited for failure to maintain control, failure to prove financial liability, and operating without a valid driver’s license.
10:07pm: A deputy was requested for a death notification in the 600 block of South 11th Street, Grand Junction.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
