The #12 4A girls team came to Adel on Tuesday night in the Winterset Huskies, and ADM turned them away in a great win 33-26. It was a defensive struggle the entire game, as ADM only gave up 15 points in the final three quarters. The 26 points were the fewest for the Huskies on the season.
The score with tied 16-16 at halftime, but ADM was able to play tremendous defense and get enough offense throughout the night, getting good ball movement and some key shots down the stretch.
ADM gets their third straight win and moves to 8-13, while Winterset moves to 13-7 on the season. The loss broke a seven game winning streak for the Huskies. The Tigers got their second win of the season over a state ranked team.
The Tigers will return to the court on Friday night for their regular season finale against the Carroll Tigers in Carroll as they look for their fourth straight win before playoff time.
