The Adel City Council approved the total maximum property tax dollars for fiscal year 2021-2022 at their regular meeting Tuesday.

Also, the Council approved the public hearing date of March 9th, for the 2021-2022 budget, approved extending the solid waste services contract with Ankeny Sanitation for five years, approved consideration of construction bids and designating the lowest bidder for the water system improvements, awarded a construction contract for the water system improvements high service pump building, and approved the engineering services agreement between the City of Adel and McClure Engineering for master planning and preliminary design work for a sports and recreational complex. 

Finally, the board agreed to push the preliminary plat for Southbridge Plat 4 rezoning to a later Council meeting.
