One of the things Panorama High School senior Reagan Gibson is excited about for her new Ambassador position with the Iowa Pork Producers Leadership Team is the ability to educate people at statewide events.
Gibson says she plans to attend Iowa State University to become an agriculture teacher. She says she may borrow a few techniques from her current agriculture teacher Steven Hameister.
“He has a really good way of teaching people. He’s not too strict, but he knows when to lay down the law a little bit. I think that’s a really good way to teach kids, and I may incorporate that in my teaching style.”
Gibson says she’s excited for the next step as she looks toward graduation.
“I have a lot of really good classes and really good teachers. It will be hard to say good-bye to them, but I’m excited to take that next step in my life and go off to college. I’m doing as much as I can to prepare myself for college life and the next step in my education.”
