Paton-Churdan and West Harrison played a girl/boy Rolling Valley Activities Conference basketball makeup doubleheader Friday night in Mondamin. P-C won the girls’ game by a score of 54-34 and WH won the boys’ contest 82-28.

The Rockets were led in scoring by 6’3″ senior Danielle Hoyle with 24 points. Senior Chloe Berns added nine points and sophomore Emma Stream scored seven. P-C led 27-12 at the half and 41-24 at the end of the third quarter. Coach Tom Kennedy’s Rockets are now 14-4 on the season and 12-2 in conference play. WH is 0-18, 0-14.

Paton-Churdan has lost nine boys’ games in a row to fall to 3-15 overall and 1-13 in the conference. WH led 37-5 after one quarter and 45-16 at halftime. Connor Brus had 10 points and Bradyn Smith seven for P-C. Shaydon Thurman was the top rebounder for the Rockets with seven. WH is 12-5 overall and 9-4 in the league.

The RVAC and regular seasons for the P-C teams end on Monday in Anita vs. CAM.
