When snow starts to fall, many people are aware of the snow ordinances that govern no parking on the streets, and plow crews would appreciate everyone’s help to comply with that ordinance.

Perry Public Works Director Jack Butler says the snow ordinance plays an important role in city workers being able to plow the streets and make it safe for motorists. Butler notes if vehicles aren’t moved it can make the work difficult to complete.

“It saves you from digging your car out, it saves you a $25 ticket and it makes our life easier when we come down the road that we can just straight shot down it and not have to work around all the cars.”

Butler says it also makes it easier for crews, so they don’t potentially have to replow streets where vehicles were parked.
