Unemployment saw little change last month in the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area.

According to Iowa Workforce Development, Greene County remained the same from November to December at 2.6-percent unemployment. Dallas and Guthrie counties each increased by 0.1-percent from November to December to three-percent for Guthrie County and 2.3-percent for Dallas County. All three counties fared better this time last year for unemployment. Dallas County was at 2.1-percent in December of 2019, Greene County was 2.2-percent and Guthrie County was at 2.8-percent unemployment. 

Iowa’s unemployment for last month was 3.1-percent, a 0.5-percent increase from November. The national unemployment rate was 6.7-percent.
