Despite a good comeback effort the AC/GC girls basketball team fell just short in their matchup with Van Meter Thursday night.

AC/GC struggled offensively early in the matchup and faced as large of a deficit as 13 points. After a couple of late buckets in the second half the Chargers found themselves within striking distance. AC/GC had a couple of chances late to bring the game to as close as two point but Van Meter rallied and pulled away late to earn the 45-40 win in Guthrie Center.

AC/GC drops to 9-7 on the season.
