Severe winter weather is anticipated to hit the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area tomorrow.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Dallas and Guthrie counties from 6am Monday through 6am Tuesday and a winter storm watch for Greene County on Monday. Dallas and Guthrie counties could see as much as one foot of snow, whereas Greene County could get as much as ten-inches. Most of the snowfall is expected to happen in the afternoon to evening, with strong winds gusting up to 30-miles-per-hour. The high winds may cause visibility issues on the roads.

Motorists need to plan accordingly and take extra time getting to their destinations. Always drive to the conditions of the road and give plow crews plenty of room to clear the roads of snow and ice.
