The West Central Valley wrestling team picked up 34 points at the Rich Gray Wrestling Invitational Saturday.

Blaise Beane finished fifth in the 145-pound bracket with a 3-1 record. He defeated Perry’s Jeb Stewart by decision, Woodward-Granger’s Oliver Potter by pinfall and Kuemper Catholic’s Nolan Simmons by pinfall.

Wyatt Clemetson earned a sixth place finish at 138 pounds, winning three of his five matches. He pinned East Union’s Eric Allen in the opening round, Martensdale St. Mary’s Sampson Henson and earned a 9-2 decision over Des Moines East’s Daniel Zeoh.

Wesley Ganoe, Kaedon Lindsay, Bodhi Mains and Thomas Teague were the other Wildcats who took part in the event.
