The Guthrie County Health Department started a COVID-19 Facebook Live weekly broadcast last week.

Public Health Director Jotham Arber says he hopes the videos can help clear the air around the vaccine.

“Every Tuesday at 5, we’re going to go live here from the Health Department. Our goal with those is to answer people’s questions and kind of give people an update. The update will include where we’re sitting as far as COVID vaccinations of people in our county. It will also include COVID case numbers and what we’re seeing as a trend, so we don’t lose sight of the fact that we’re still in a pandemic.”

The second dose of phase 1A vaccinations have begun and Arber says the state has announced phase 1B begins February 1.
