When the coronavirus pandemic began last year, Iowa lawmakers were forced to table bills as the legislative session was interrupted and finished up before the start of the current fiscal year in July.
House District 19 Representative Carter Nordman talks about some of those bills that maybe revisited this session.
“We are going to see a lot of bills come through that were brought up last session that were kind of halted by COVID with that special session that they had to come back for a lot of bills (that) were killed just because there wasn’t enough time to do them due to the pandemic.”
As the 89th Iowa General Assembly moves into completing its second week, bills have started to be brought up and moving forward at the Statehouse.
