Grant applications for the Greene County Community Foundation are now being accepted.

Over the past 15 years, the non-profit organization has allocated over $1.5 million toward community projects that support families and a solid beginning for children and youth; serve as a catalyst for youth and recreational activities; promote elder care, support services and an active senior population; promote the health, education and vitality of the community; address community needs for police, fire and emergency services; assist in developing quality jobs, tourism and economic development; or help make the community more attractive, livable and cohesive.

President Don Van Gilder says due to the pandemic, their funding that is allocated from Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation – the non-profit gaming license holder for Wild Rose Casino and Resort in Jefferson – will be reduced. The Foundation will consider grant applications up to $35,000. Applications must be submitted to Journey Financial Office in Home State Bank in Jefferson by 4pm on February 10th. Grants will be awarded in mid-March.
