Greene County has basketball and wrestling on tonight’s schedule and Paton-Churdan plays basketball.

After being on pause last week the Rams get back to the wrestling mats tonight in State Center for a quadrangular vs. Heart of Iowa Activities Conference opponents West Marshall and Roland-Story, as well as non-conference South Hardin (Eldora). Coach Zach Beekman’s team is 9-8 in dual meets. Greene County is set to host the HOIAC Conference tournament this Friday inside the new high school gym in Jefferson.

Coming off last night’s road sweep of Woodward-Granger, the Greene County girls and boys basketball teams are at home in Jefferson tonight at the new high school with HOIAC opponent South Hamilton (Jewell). The Hawks swept the Rams in Jewell early last month and tonight’s games can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Coverage starts at 5:40 p.m. with the girls playing first at 6 o’clock, followed by the boys.

The Paton-Churdan basketball teams play at home vs. Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton in a girl/boy twin bill in Churdan. The girls’ game is of particular note as the Rockets lost to the Spartans last month and trail EEHK by one game in the Rolling Valley Activities Conference.
