Iowa’s Third Congressional District Representative Cindy Axne says the Congress over the last two years has been the least effective in United States History.
Axne is hopeful that the new administration will bring more bipartisan support to get relief to struggling citizens.
Iowa’s Third Congressional District Representative Cindy Axne says the Congress over the last two years has been the least effective in United States History.
Axne is hopeful that the new administration will bring more bipartisan support to get relief to struggling citizens.
“I firmly believe that we need to do everything as much as we possibly can from a bipartisan perspective. I know that’s how we will come together, find solutions and move agendas forward. But, we also need to make sure we don’t have gridlock like we did last time. We need to do more, and we’ve got to be able to get some things through. To be able to have a Democratic Senate would be very helpful in moving these bills forward that will literally put money in people’s pockets.”
Axne says she has good Republican colleagues in Troy Balderson from Ohio and Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania, and she’s looking forward to working for more packages for small businesses and extending unemployment benefits as recovery from COVID-19 continues.
