Joanne Elise Gregory, age 29, of rural Glidden, IA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at her home near Glidden.

     Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Peace Lutheran Church in Glidden with Pastor Alan Miller officiating.  Organist for the service will be Becky Miller.  Casket bearers will be Maverick Gregory, Sawyer Gregory, Ryan Quigley, Noah Snyder, Ethan Boyd, and Jake Bowman.   Burial will be in Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery near Glidden.

     Friends may call at Peace Lutheran Church in Glidden from 5 – 7 P.M. on Monday evening where there will be a prayer service held at 7:00 P.M.  Additional visitation will be held at the church from 10 – 10:45 A.M. on Tuesday morning.

     Those in attendance at Joanne’s visitation and funeral are asked to abide by Covid-19 guidelines and facemasks are required.

     Joanne was born on March 23, 1991 in New Brunswick, NJ, and was the daughter of Butch and Barbara (Wulkow) Gregory.  Her family lived in Monmouth Junction, NJ, until she was eight years old when her family moved to rural Glidden.  She graduated from Glidden – Ralston High School in 2009.  Following high school she attended DMACC in Ankeny and graduated with a degree in Architectural Technology.  She was employed by Todd and Sargent Inc. in Ames as an Engineering Drafter which she considered her “Dream Job”.  Joanne traveled to many job sights through the United States and Canada and was actively employed until the pandemic slowed production.  She was baptized at Faith Lutheran Church in Dayton, NJ, and she was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Peace Lutheran Church in Glidden where she was currently a member.  Joanne loved animals and traveling.  She also enjoyed shopping, playing softball and volleyball, and spending time with her friends and family.  Pink was her favorite color, she was an avid Iowa State fan, and she loved sun flowers.

     Joanne is survived by her parents Butch and Barb Gregory of rural Glidden; her sister Brianna Botine (Bruce) of Boerne, TX; her brother Maverick Gregory of rural Glidden; her paternal grandparents Bob and Mary Ann Gregory of Ralston; three nieces: Brenna, Brielle, and Briar; two nephews Brayden and Brock; her aunts and uncles; several cousins; and many good friends and other extended family members including her beloved dog Denali.

     Joanne was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Reinard and Eunice Wulkow; and her cousins Zach Stork and Quinn Gregory.
