The winners of the 20th Mary J. Barnett Memorial Library Festival of Trees were announced Tuesday.

Bryan Crowder of Des Moines took first place, winning $35 in Guthrie Center Chamber Bucks, for the Snoopy Tree. Girl Scout Troop 649 of Guthrie Center claimed second place and $25 Chamber Bucks. The American Legion Auxiliary of Guthrie Center finished third and was awarded $15 Chamber Bucks.

There were ten trees total in the competition. Prizes were awarded based on the number of votes received from viewers of the event. The voting ended December 30.

Seven area children won prizes in the gnome counting contest, but were not ranked.
