The West Central Valley School District will wrap up its winter break this week and get to work on second half of the school year.
Superintendent Rusty Shockley says that the pandemic has changed how administrators plan out the year.
“You’re not planning long-term now. You’re planning what tomorrow looks like and the next day. It’s changed the complexion of how administrators plan because you’re really dealing with the next thing that smacks you in the face. So, long-term, we’ll get back to what we can do to improve instruction within the buildings, but whether that’ll be in 2021 or whether it’ll wait until the fall. Who really knows how this is all going to play out?”
Students return to class Monday and the first semester ends January 15.
