With 2020 drawing to a close, the Perry Community School District is looking ahead to 2021 and what that might look like for education.
For Perry Superintendent Clark Wicks, he says the rest of the 2020-21 school year will be looked at as a COVID year, which means all the adjustments that were made in the first half of the year will remain the same for the time being. Wicks says they will continue to monitor data in the future.
“At this point, we are going to continue with the two platforms, just like we have done and we want to try and continue that quality service on both ends. The expectations for kids online, as well as onsite, will be that you need to come and bring it every day. Everybody needs to do their responsibility to make this work.”
Wicks hopes to continue to have success with the platforms the schools are using for learning.
