The Greene County Cattlemen’s Association recently made a donation to help warm up area youth.

The local beef producer organization donated winter hats and gloves to all of the fourth graders with the Greene County and Paton-Churdan school districts. A total of 19 P-C students received black and orange hats and gloves, and 66 Greene County students received red and black hats and gloves. Additional sets were given to each school district for other students to enjoy.

Funding for the donation came from the Cattlemen’s Association’s annual banquet. The decision was made at the end of November to donate the hats and gloves as a way to brighten the holiday season for area youth.
