Wins for Greene County in varsity basketball at Nevada have been few and far between, and it’s going to be a while longer as the Rams and Cubs have been postponed until Jan. 12. No explanation was given by the Greene County Activities Office in an email to Raccoon Valley Radio. Girls and boys Mega Night games were on the schedule for later today and tonight at Nevada, but none of those games will take place tonight.

Greene County now enters the break for the holidays one day earlier than anticipated. Coach Todd Gordon’s girls’ team is 2-3 on the season while Chris Nelson’s boys’ squad is 0-5. Both Ram teams have had trouble keeping their starting lineups in tack, due to injuries and COVID-19 concerns.

The next games on the schedule for the Rams are set for Tuesday, Jan. 5 in Jefferson vs. non-conference opponent Webster City.
