West Central Valley Wildcats basketball was on the court once again on Friday night with both teams taking on the Tigers of Madrid. The girls were able to get the win by the score of 48-34 while the boys unfortunately were unable to get the victory as they fell by the score of 72-41.
The girls were able to come out of the gate quickly and slow down the Tigers offense all night long with their good defense. The Wildcats were also able to take their time on the offensive end, as they played good team basketball and were able to get a lot of good looks throughout the night, many that resulted in made baskets.
The boys fell by the score of 72-41, after a second quarter of only three points would be the difference, as the Wildcats couldn’t dig themselves out of that hole. WCV has found a better offensive flow throughout the season, but shots simply weren’t falling on Friday Night.
Both of the Wildcats teams will have one more game before the break, as they take on their county rival in the AC/GC Chargers on Monday Night in Stuart.
