The Guthrie Center City Council approved a bid proposal from Simmering and Cory for $20,800 for a Highway 44 water main project as part of its regular meeting Monday night.

The Council discussed snow removal for downtown area businesses.For future snow events, businesses who don’t clear snow will be contacted by phone and invoiced for non-compliance.

The Council approved replacing a damaged vase at the cemetery for approximately $50. They also discussed a potential change order for the bathhouse, but no action was taken on the matter.

After no public comments were made on the sale of 201 North 1st Street, the Council approved selling the property.

Finally, Prime Time Restaurant was selected by the Council as an applicant for the Catalyst Grant. The meeting adjourned after Councilmembers decided to hold a joint meeting with the Utility Board to discuss salary adjustments for 2021.
