While the coronavirus pandemic has put a stop to large gatherings, one local library has created various virtual options for families to participate in.
The Perry Public Library has continued to offer services, in a different way, since the pandemic began. Among those services includes virtual options such as Books and Bites which is a children’s Zoom program on the first Wednesday of each month at 3 p.m. and combines a book with a snack. Registration is limited to 15 participants.
Additionally, there are Community Helpers Family Storytimes in December. The upcoming storytime is December 16, at 10:15 a.m. for children ages two to five. All storytimes are free but require registration and include free activity kits.
Finally, there is the Wee Wonders Online recorded programs for babies and infants up to 18 months. Those programs are posted online with the next one being on December 22. The recorded programs are free but you must register to receive the free books and activity kits.
For more information on these programs and the many more and for registration you can call the library at 515-465-3569.
