Funeral Services for Catharine Ann Schafer, 46, will be held Saturday, December 12th, 2020 at 1:00 p.m at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints in Waukee. Due to the limitation of COVID-19, attendance will be limited and only allows for the same guest from the visitation to the funeral service. Live streaming will be available for those not in attendance at http://mywebcast.churchofjesuschrist.org/desmoinesiowamountpisgahstake. Following the services’ conclusion, there will be a procession from the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints in Waukee to the Oak Dale Cemetery in Adel. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be made to the family.  A children’s charity that Catharine would have loved to help will be decided by the family at a later date. She is survived by her parents, Steve and Cathy Schafer, sister, Valerie Schafer, brothers and sister-in-laws, Matt (Kelly) Schafer, Joe (Jackie) Schafer, and Dan (Amber) Schafer, her sweet nieces and nephews, Mackenzie Schafer, Liam and Eli Schafer, and Kasey, Will and Jackson Beasley-Tyrrell; along with many aunts, uncles and extended family members.
