The West Central Valley Wildcats wrestling team was on the mat last Thursday for their first meet of the season, and the Wildcats were able to find some success, as they were able to take two out of three in the meet.
The Wildcats were able to defeat Nodaway Valley by the score of 45-29 points, and East Union by the score of 54-24 points. ACGC was just able to defeat the Wildcats at 41-36 in a competitive match, as they were able to finish 2-1 on the day.
Braiden Beane was able to win via two falls during his two matches, and claim another victory via forfeit as well. The Wildcat wrestlers competed hard during their match, and were able to find out a lot about this team that they hope that can translate to later matches.
The Wildcats will be hoping to get more reps in during practice this week, as they get prepared for future matches.
