West Central Valley girls basketball were able to get a great opening season week on Friday night, as they were able to defeat the Bulldogs of Ogden by the score of 60-33. The Wildcats were able to play some excellent basketball for the first game of the season, as they were able to control the tempo as their pace, lock in defensively, and get excellent looks, most that they were able to knock in. This is the third straight win for the Wildcats in the series.

On the boys side, the Wildcats fell just a little bit short falling by the score of 61-24. The Wildcats fought hard throughout the game but unfortunately couldn’t the win. Defense through the first two weeks has been improved so far for the boys compared to last season, a positive for sure.

The girls will be back on the court against Ankeny Christian Academy on Monday, whiles the boys will be on the court again on Tuesday against I-35 High School.
