Iowa Representative for the 47th District was recently named to a new leadership role in the House.

House Speaker Pat Grassley named Republican Phil Thompson of Jefferson as the House Economic Development Appropriations Subcommittee Chair. Thompson served as the State Government Committee Vice Chair, along with serving on the Transportation, Infrastructure and Capitals budget committee this past legislative session. 

Thompson recently won re-election in the November general election and will serve his second term in the Iowa House. The 89th General Assembly will begin January 11, 2021.
