Adel is going to be lighting it up with holiday cheer today.

Starting at 5:30pm Adel will turn on the Christmas lights. Lights will be on the street light poles as well as some evergreen trees on the northeast corner of the square. 

The community is invited to come out while observing social distancing guidelines and enjoy the lighting. Businesses are not being asked to be open or serve their favorite recipe. 

Additionally, the 56-foot tall Christmas tree on the northeast corner of the downtown square lawn was officially lit last week and is lit at 4pm every afternoon until midnight for people to see.
